The Beaver Creek Resort Company is excited to be the driving force behind Beaver Creek Inspire, a strategic collection of projects and initiatives to drive major enhancements and modernization to the Village and base area of Beaver Creek.

Beaver Creek Inspire was created to support property values, drive commercial business and provide exciting new amenities and experiences consistent with Beaver Creek’s reputation and tradition as a world-class luxury resort. Projects include: renovations and upgrades to buildings and public areas; extraordinary evening experiences; exciting new spaces for kids and teens; improved summer activities and camp offerings; enhanced parking and skier drop-off experiences, and more.

This is the largest investment plan Beaver Creek Village has seen in decades, with potential for $12 million of improvements from BCRC over the next several years and possibly twice that amount when including investments made by other stakeholder organizations.

This vision will only be accomplished through participation, partnership and collaboration among the entire Beaver Creek community of property and building owners, associations, and business operators.

Creekside Park Construction Project Update: November 2024

At the end of October, all areas of the park are progressing through final detailing and touch-ups before the Winter season. Final installations of the pavilion roof, lamp posts, along with finishing stages of sidewalks and landscaping are occurring in the upper area of the park. The lower area of the park construction fence has been removed and is open to the public.

All skiways through Creekside Park will be available this winter and maintained as they have been prior to the improvement project.  All construction fencing will be removed prior to the resort’s opening day.

In the upper area of the park, the restroom roof installation and sod and lawn hydroseeding are now complete. Pavilion roof and lamp post installations are currently underway, while the pavilion wall has been poured, with final grading in progress. Additionally, work has begun on the pavilion’s sidewalk and flagstone installation. The construction fencing will come down before the resort opens for winter.

In the lower area of the park, recent developments include the completion of the asphalt path, playground equipment touch-up, and final electrical work, along with the installation of wood benches. The temporary access bridge for construction has been removed, and Ski Patrol is setting up a perimeter fence for winter, delineating play areas to keep skiers and snowboards on the skiway.

Reminders about the project:

• Construction in both the Lower and Upper Park will conclude for the winter season, with small finishes and furniture placement after the winter season.
• A perimeter fence will be in place around areas of the playground in winter to keep skiers and snowboards on the designated path. Most of the playground features will remain accessible for play in the winter, The Nest slide feature will not be open in winter.
• A grand opening celebration for the completed Creekside Park will take place Spring 2025.

Creekside Park Construction Project Update: October 2024

By the end of September, almost all features were in place and the landscaping work is already showcasing thoughtful integration with the beautiful natural surroundings. Landscaping efforts are progressing throughout the park, with final grading, electrical work, and stormwater infrastructure in place at the Pavilion. The Lower Park’s landscaping is nearly complete, with final sod installation and playground touch-ups underway.

In the upper area of the park, the Pavilion installation is near completion, with the structure painted and electrical work complete. The old restroom roof has been removed, and a roof matching the pavilion will be installed. Trees and shrubs have been planted, stormwater infrastructure is in place, and final grading is underway. Concrete for the accessible entrance ramp and a new pathway is scheduled to be poured in early October.

In the lower area of the park, the landscaping and concrete path are complete, and new custom leaf-shaped shade structures installed. Playground equipment touch-ups are in progress and have passed an initial inspection. Final site cleanup is already underway, and we are on track to remove the construction fencing before the resort opens for winter.

Creekside Park Construction Project Update: September 2024

Significant construction progress was made in August; the playground equipment installation was complete and the pavilion foundation was complete and vertical supports were installed. Final grading and irrigation installation are underway across the site, moving the project closer to completion!

In the upper area of the park, the pavilion foundation was poured and vertical truss structures were installed and are ready for painting. Final grading is now underway and irrigation installation is in progress. The flagstone patios and meandering path above Upper Park have been completed, and construction fencing has been removed, allowing guests to access the new patios ahead of final landscaping.

In the lower area of the park, all playground equipment has been installed, and the final touches on The Nest are currently underway. Mulch has been added to the playground pods and covered for protection. The installation of the irrigation system is in progress, as is the final grading work. Additionally, preparation for the installation of the concrete paths has begun.

Creekside Park Construction Project Update: August 2024

During July, construction work generally transitioned from site preparation to the start of installation for new features. By the end of the month, some of the key playground and pavilion features were set in place and the park is starting to take shape!

In the upper area of the park, the Pavilion foundation is nearing completion. Flagstone patios are complete and material for the meandering path is beginning to be laid and compacted. Preparations for landscaping installation has begun.

In the lower area of the park, flagstone patios were completed and log borders were installed around play pods. Playground equipment has been delivered and installation is nearly complete, including our custom climbing boulders, tree feature and The Nest. Significant landscape, path and play pod work will take place in August.

 Creekside Park Construction Project Update: July 2024

In June, construction progressed from broad excavation to more detailed efforts on paths, patios and the pavilion structure. The project remains on schedule and no construction is planned for July 4^th through July 7^th in observation of Independence Day.

In the upper area of the park, excavation and footers for the pavilion are complete, with a concrete foundation pour planned for early July. Construction on the flagstone patios is underway, with the uppermost patio complete and open for public access. The meandering path subgrade is complete, with crews working to finish the paths.

In the lower area of the park, the play pod subgrade was completed, with installation of playground equipment planned to begin the week of July 8.  Construction on a boulder wall feature and installation of flagstone patios is underway.

Earthwork for the Creekside Park project began in May and is on schedule. Despite experiencing mixed inclement weather, only 1.5 days of work have been lost due to snowstorms.

In the upper area of the park, the old playground and pavilion have been demolished and removed, and the site has been grubbed and cleared. Excavation has begun for the new pavilion site, and grading and flagstone work is underway for patio and creekside path areas.

In the lower area of the park, the gazebo has been demolished and removed, a new snowmaking line has been installed, and the play pod and picnic areas have been staked, graded and prepared for playground equipment installation which will begin in July.

The project broke ground in April and is well into a pre-construction phase. This includes placement of construction fencing, demolition, and work on snowmaking infrastructure improvements in the lower park to ensure a quality winter skiway experience for years to come.

Reminders and updates about the project:

• Construction in both the lower and upper park will be taking place in the park until November.
• The primary pedestrian path from the lower park to the upper park will be kept open as much as possible, with only occasional closures of the path anticipated.
• Planned hours of construction in May are Monday through Friday 7:30am – 6:30pm. If necessary for our timeline, Saturday work may occur from 8:00am to 5:30pm.

The project plans include replacement of all picnic tables in the park and as a result, we have several existing picnic tables in good shape that are available for free if any properties or community members are interested, on a first-come, first-served basis. The end result will feature and enhance the beautiful natural alpine environment, and offer the community a unique playground experience and multi-use lawn space commensurate with the world-class destination qualities and brand of Beaver Creek resort.

Our approach to the project includes the following commitments in an effort to keep construction impacts as minimal and transparent as possible:

• Both upper and lower park construction will occur in 2024, the project will not disrupt the park for multiple years as originally planned.
• The primary pedestrian path from the lower park to the upper park will be kept open as much as possible, with only occasional closures of the path anticipated.
• The project team will be providing monthly updates and available as a resource at any time for questions and to provide ongoing information.
